Jersey City Heights / CUSTOM HOME RENOVATION
This project entails the transformation of a warm, modern urban residence defined by clean architectural lines, soft natural light, and a refined palette of materials.
The clients approached us with a clear goal: to open their living spaces and highlight their expansive city views. The redesign centered on creating a continuous flow between the kitchen, dining, and living areas—an open concept that celebrates light, connection, and daily living. A new cable-railing staircase replaced the original narrow, winding one, establishing a visual and spatial link between the lower and main floors and enhancing the overall sense of openness.
The reimagined powder room and children’s bathroom were conceived as serene, contemporary retreats—balancing functionality, comfort, and modern detailing. On the lower level, the layout was reorganized to include a primary bedroom suite, home office, and laundry room, optimizing privacy, circulation, and storage for a family of four.
Acoustic performance was a critical component of the renovation. The townhouse, situated beneath another unit, originally suffered from poor sound insulation. Through a comprehensive acoustic upgrade—including dense insulation in ceilings and walls, decoupled ceiling assemblies using sound isolation clips, and double layers of drywall with Green Glue damping compound—we created a tranquil environment that lives up to the project’s name.
This was a highly collaborative process, uniting architects, builders, and craftspeople in a shared vision. Each decision—from structural interventions to material selections—was guided by open communication and a commitment to quality. The result is a cohesive, elevated home that embodies intentional design, craftsmanship, and the seamless integration of architecture and interior space.

“My favorite part is how each challenge was met with a solution—from reorganizing the bedroom and bathroom layouts to making everything that was asked fit well.”
